China News Service, Bangkok, March 1 (Li Yingmin, Zhao Jingnan) Reporters learned from China Petroleum Pipeline Bureau Thailand Company on the 1st that the first 1,000-ton acid gas absorption tower of Thailand’s No. 7 Natural Gas Processing Plant, which was constructed by the company, was recently installed in Thailand. The Rayong Industrial Zone has been hoisted into place, marking that the core device of Thailand's seventh treatment plant project has officially entered the installation phase.

  The sour gas absorption tower is one of the core equipment of Thailand's No. 7 Natural Gas Treatment Plant. It is 60 meters high, 6.25 meters in diameter, and has a lifting weight of 1,020 tons.

Under the command of the construction staff, a 2,000-ton main crane and an 800-ton auxiliary crane were used. With the cooperation of heavy-duty cranes, it took 3 hours to safely and smoothly hoist the 1,000-ton tower into place.

  Thailand's No. 7 Natural Gas Processing Plant is a demonstration project of China-Thailand energy cooperation and the first cooperative natural gas processing project between PetroChina and Thai Petroleum. The project integrates multiple functions such as natural gas power generation, separation, pressurized export, and natural gas cold energy utilization. It is the first large-scale natural gas processing plant general contracting project with ethane recovery function undertaken by a Chinese enterprise overseas. After the project is completed, its annual natural gas processing capacity will reach 5 billion cubic meters, accounting for 20% of Thailand's natural gas processing market share. It is of great significance for ensuring Thailand’s future energy supply and deepening energy cooperation between China and Thailand.
