Rewe frozen spinach from Ardo recalled due to suspected metal shavings

This frozen product is potentially hazardous to health: The frozen food manufacturer Ardo is recalling frozen spinach nationwide because of possible metal shavings in the vegetable.

A health risk cannot be ruled out with complete certainty, the company's Ratingen office said.

This is about the product “REWE Best Choice, Young Spinach Chopped” in the 450 gram pack.

Packs with the EAN number 433725605169 and the best-before date of January 2026 are affected. Eating the spinach is strongly advised against.

Even without presenting a receipt, consumers can return frozen spinach to supermarkets.

The purchase price will be refunded.
