The actress of the Harry Potter saga, who multiplied appearances on the big screen between 2001 and 2011, initially slowed down her pace. She was seen in the Disney studios' fantasy feature film, Beauty and the Beast, in 2017. Two years later, in 2019, she starred in another film adaptation: The Daughters of Dr. March. It was after this shoot that Emma Watson wanted to move away from the sets to think about her future.

"I wasn't very happy"

"I wasn't very happy, to be honest. I think I felt a bit caged. What I found really difficult was that I had to go out and sell something that I didn't really have control over," the actress told the Financial Times. Emma Watson has long felt frustrated that she didn't have a say in the projects she was involved in.
