Lanzhou, April 4 (Yan Jiao, Li Yalong) From the first acquaintance with oil olives to the birth of "oil olive love", over the past 7 years, Zhao Haiyun, director of the Oil Olive Industry Development Office in Wudu District, Longnan City, Gansu Province, has changed from "oil olive little white" to "walking oil olive dictionary", and protects the oil olive tree with heart and affection.

In the past few days, Zhao Haiyun has gone to the field to observe the growth of oil olives. Seeing the oil olives that are now scattered all over the mountains and leafy, he couldn't help but sigh, "In the past, farmers planted a few trees sporadically, but now Longnan has more than 90,<> mu. With the implementation of the 'three-year doubling' plan, the planting area of oil olive will continue to expand, and the industrial efficiency is gradually improving. ”

In an interview with a reporter from Chinanews.com in early April, Zhao Haiyun told his "oil olive love" and the story of his perspective that "far married" oil olive took root and opened up territory in Longnan.

"The first thing I did when I started working was learning how to cut olive oil." Zhao Haiyun said that following experts from Beijing to "soak" in the fields to conduct research and demonstration promotion, and won provincial and ministerial awards four times, he admitted that it was "very difficult" at that time.

In Zhao Haiyun's impression, oil olives were not cultivated according to economic forests at first, but developed as soil and water conservation species, so they were not valued by farmers, and only state-owned forest farms planted dozens of acres for oil olive experiments. With the implementation of returning farmland to forest, farmers not only planted oil olives on arid hillsides and barren hills, but also planted them alive, "which is a turning point for oil olives to expand in Longnan." ”

There are more oil olive trees, and Longnan officials have also cultivated and built enterprises that process oil olives, and economic benefits have gradually emerged. Farmers began to grow olive oil on their own, even to high altitudes, forcing researchers to study ways to increase the resistance of olive oil. After official guidance, at present, Longnan has formed a model of planting oil olives in the mountains, peppercorns on the mountainside, and Chinese medicinal materials in the mountains.

Oil olives extend to 10 categories and more than 80 kinds of products in Longnan, but in Zhao Haiyun's view, oil olives are "full of treasures", and there is more room for development, which requires continuous interaction with the country of origin of oil olives and learning good development experience.

At present, Zhao Haiyun also serves as a director of the National Innovation Alliance of Oil Olive Industry and the deputy secretary-general of Longnan Oil Tasters Association. In recent years, he has not only practiced, but also presided over projects such as "Demonstration of Processing Technology of Oil Olive for Sugar Water Fermentation Meal", "Selection and Introduction of Longnan Oil Olive Varieties", "Breeding of Fine Oil Olive Seeds, High-efficiency Water and Fertilizer Integration Technology of Oil Olive", "Longnan National Oil Olive Seed Base Construction and Other Projects", etc., which has become a "walking oil olive dictionary".

Zhao Haiyun said that he hopes that through continuous efforts, oil olives can gradually enter the public's field of vision from niche products. (End)
