Before Valentine's Day on the 14th, students who are learning to make sweets at a vocational school in Niigata City held an event to hand out handmade chocolates to people who came to donate blood. I am calling.

Students from the International School of Cooking and Confectionery in Niigata City participate in this initiative every year in order to help promote blood donations, as the number of people who visit the blood donation room tends to decrease during the winter season.

At the blood donation room in Niigata City, students from a vocational school prepared 350 pieces of white chocolate coated with strawberry powder and distributed them directly to visitors.

The people who received the chocolates said, "I appreciate your thoughtfulness," and "I think that if these efforts raise interest, more people will go to donate blood."

Ms. Anri Okamoto of the International College of Cooking and Confectionery, who made the chocolate, said, "I made a pink chocolate using strawberry powder with the image of donating blood.

In addition, Ayane Sato said, "I want more people to cooperate with blood donation through chocolate."

This event will also be held on Valentine's Day on the 14th at blood donation centers in Niigata City and Nagaoka City, Niigata Prefecture.
