He was appointed director of the State Historical Museum on June 24, 2010.

Earlier it was reported that Elena Pronicheva was appointed the new General Director of the State Tretyakov Gallery.

She will replace Zelfira Tregulova, who is leaving the position of the general director of the museum due to the expiration of her employment contract.
