The day before yesterday, the activities of the Sheikh Zayed Festival were launched in Al Wathba in Abu Dhabi, which will continue until March 18, 2023. The activities of the first day witnessed a public turnout, in an entertainment and cultural atmosphere, a suspense template, and activities that urge adherence to heritage, and connect visitors with the details of past life.
The inaugural events included folklore performances, stringed police band, drones, fireworks, balloon shooting, Al Wathba custom show car modification events, children’s theater, amusement park, Selfie Street area, children’s city, go-karting competitions, Crazy Car competitions, and Pet House. Horror events, Al Forsan Sports Resort, the Sweets Show, and other interesting events.
Drones painted artistic paintings in the festival sky that caught the audience's attention, forming the word "Hayakum" in both Arabic and English, and carrying its meaning of welcoming the festival's visitors.
The slogan “Come Closer” meaning “prefer” also expressed the many options for visitors of food and foods inspired by different cultures of the world.
The activities of the first day of the festival were able, from the first hours, to highlight the culture of the Emirates, which is rich in authentic customs and traditions, to give the visitor an overview of the UAE's civilization and heritage.
