"Testimonies about Visual Art" is the title of the dialogue session, which brought together three of the most prominent names in the Emirati art sky, in which they discussed the experience of pioneers in Emirati and Gulf drama, and the transformations that accompanied its industry, stressing that preserving culture is a societal responsibility.

This came as part of the Sharjah International Book Fair, where the session hosted the able Emirati actress Moza Al Mazrouei, the first Emirati woman to stand on stage, the founding member of the Emirati Playwrights Association, and the young Emirati actor and director Yasser Al Neyadi, who presented many series, plays and films, while The session was moderated by Emirati actor and producer Habib Ghuloom, expressing his happiness with the start of the event to host the actress, Moza Al Mazrouei, as one of the first generation of Emirati creators, and one of his teachers, until she was called in artistic circles as “The Mother of Playwrights”.

During the symposium, Al Mazrouei presented a brief account of the artistic production process in the UAE since the seventies, stopping at the most important stations in her artistic experience that keep pace with the emergence of local drama, expressing her feeling of nostalgia for ancient artworks, which, despite their simplicity, provided many stories and lofty meanings.

Actor Yasser Al Neyadi stressed the importance of theater, as it is the first nucleus of visual art, noting that its doors were always open to provide support to young artists before they later set out for cinema and television, while criticizing the negative view of art in terms of conflict between old and modern, saying: “I am against the idea of The abolition of one generation for the sake of another generation takes over the art scene in total and in detail, because the artworks contain characters and heroes of different ages.”

Actor Habib Ghuloom concluded the session, which he moderated, by answering the question of what is culture, saying: "Our constants, our thoughts, our beliefs, our clothes, our dialect, and what we eat are our culture, and the media is part of this culture, and in order to preserve this culture, we all bear responsibility."
