In light of the impact of high prices, the Japan Student Services Organization has established a policy of subsidizing up to 1 million yen to universities that support students' food expenses and stationery expenses.

In response to rising prices, some universities have come up with measures to support students, such as discounting cafeteria fees.

In order to support these efforts, the Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO) has established a policy of using approximately 1.8 billion yen in donations received to the organization to subsidize universities and other organizations.

According to officials, up to 1 million yen will be subsidized for universities, junior colleges, vocational schools, etc. that support students' food expenses, stationery, teaching materials, etc.

The method of support and the target students will be determined by each university, but the upper limit of support per student will be requested to be equivalent to 10,000 yen.

The Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO) will make an official announcement soon, and will start recruiting universities to support from next month and plan to issue subsidies sequentially from the beginning of the year.
