The city center of Clermont-Ferrand (Puy-de-Dôme) will be closed to traffic this Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Cars and motorized two-wheelers will not be able to drive there during this time slot, reports Actu Saint-Etienne.

Buses and trams will be allowed, as will bicycles and pedestrians.

Raising awareness about the preservation of air quality

This traffic interruption is linked to the event "I inspire in Clermont, car-free day 2022" organized by the metropolis of Clermont-Ferrand.

If the streets will be open to the circulation of bicycles and buses, it is recommended that pedestrians and cyclists not obstruct the path of public transport for reasons of safety.

To access the city centre, it will therefore be necessary to use the relay car parks to drop off your car and then use public transport or a bicycle.

Several activities will be organized during this day.

They will aim to raise awareness among residents about the preservation of air quality.
