French consumers are again called upon to be vigilant.

Several batches of smoked chicken have been under recall since Monday due to the potential presence of listeria, reports

The recall sheet published by Rappel Conso concerns products sold in Aldi, Casino, Leader Price (Franprix) and Lidl supermarkets.

This is smoked chicken sold whole or in slices that is potentially contaminated with listeria monocytogenes bacteria.

End of recall in January 2023

At Aldi, the recall concerns a Corril brand smoked cooked chicken sold on October 20 and 21.

At Casino, it is a beech wood-smoked chicken marketed in slices by the “Tous les jours” brand between October 17 and 21.

In the Franprix and Leader Price brands, a cooked smoked chicken weighing around 1.5 kg from the Leader Price brand was recalled.

Finally, at Lidl, the recall concerns a 1.25 kg smoked cooked chicken branded L'Etal du Poulier, sold between October 19 and 22.

The use-by date (DLC) of all the recalled batches is between November 7 and 9, 2022. The details of the batches are available on the Consuming Recall sheet.

Customers are advised not to eat this chicken, whose contamination can be serious, especially for pregnant women and immunocompromised people.

Consumers can return the product to the store and get a refund.

The recall procedure will end on January 9, 2023.
