Homecoming for the Sussexes.

After a much longer than expected stay in England, due to the death of his grandmother, Prince Harry returned to the United States with his wife, Meghan, the day after the funeral.

The reason ?

They missed their children too much.

It was indeed the longest period during which they were separated from their children, Archie and Lilibet, and this estrangement was beginning to weigh on them.

"They miss the kids dearly and they FaceTimed them every day, but they couldn't wait to see them again and hold them in their arms after a trying few weeks," a source close to the couple told

No hearing

Originally, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were to stay just a few days in the United Kingdom, but when they realized that their stay risked being much longer at the announcement of the death of Elizabeth II, the couple hesitated to bring their children, who remained in Montecito.

Considered too young, three-year-old Archie and one-year-old Lilibet could not have understood the solemnity of the moment.

For the same reasons, Prince William and Kate Middleton preferred to keep their youngest, four-year-old Louis, at home.

According to Page Six, the Sussexes returned home without Meghan Markle having had time to speak with King Charles III, as she would have requested.

An “audience” to “clarify things” between them, which will therefore probably not take place for a long time…
