Kochi Prefecture announced on the 5th that 429 new people were confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus in the prefecture.
So far, 88,937 people have been confirmed to be infected in the prefecture.
Kochi Prefecture also announced seven new deaths in the prefecture.
A total of 263 people have died so far in the county.
