On September 1, the Beijing Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China held a press conference on the theme of "This Decade of China, Beijing".

Chen Jining, deputy secretary of the Beijing Municipal Party Committee and mayor, made a keynote announcement and answered questions from reporters.

Chen Jining said that the past 10 years have been a decade in which the people's life in Beijing has steadily improved and the urban landscape has achieved historic improvements.

Beijing's 3958 back streets and alleys have been renovated while retaining their nostalgia, paying close attention to the two "key trivial matters" of household waste classification and property management.

The coverage rate of inclusive kindergartens exceeded 88%, 847,000 affordable housing units were built and raised, and the per capita disposable income of residents increased from 36,800 yuan to 75,000 yuan.
