Saif Nabil responds to his critics: I sing Fairuz in my own way (video)

The Iraqi artist, Saif Nabil, responded to the wave of widespread criticism that targeted him after his performance of the song "Nesm Alina Al Hawa", by the great Lebanese singer Fairuz, at his concert in Damascus, which he held on August 6.

Saif Nabil told ET Arabic: “I am a person and a composer, and I know what to sing, and never the song has no dissonance. I want them to say I'm fake, but that's my nature."


Saif Nabil added, "All my life, I have been educated on Fairuz's songs since my childhood and I respect them."



Despite the wide criticism that he received because of this song, Saif Nabil sang "Nessem Ala Alina Al Hawa", again in his last concert, at the 56th Carthage International Festival in Tunisia, which he revived with the participation of the Iraqi artist Rahma Riad in the presence of a large audience.

Saif Nabil is considered one of the most prominent stars of his generation, as his fame came through social media, and he presented many songs that won the admiration of millions of his followers, including the song “Love of Death”, which crossed the barrier of 300 million views, through YouTube site.
