Playwright, actor, director and director of the Festival d'Avignon, Olivier Py marked the history of theater in France.
Born in 1965 in Grasse, into a family that had to leave Algeria hastily in 1962, he trained in theater and… theology.
After the National Dramatic Center of Orléans and the Théâtre de l'Odéon in Paris, he directed from 2014 to 2022 the largest theater festival in the world and presented his new play there, "Ma jeunesse exaltée".
