He is very tall, very talented, very tattooed.
And his cinema seems to want to challenge both the ephemeral side of images and death, like the skulls and other tattoos proliferating on his arms.
Born in 1973 in the Quebec province of New Brunswick, the former film critic, turned director, was noticed from his first feature film in 2005, "The Nordic States", awarded the Golden Leopard at Locarno.
Since then, Denis Côté has remained this independent and elusive filmmaker who characterizes his films so much.
