“On July 27, 2022, the legendary artist of the Mariinsky Theater Yuri Marusin passed away.

His sonorous, strong, flexible, recognizable from the first note tenor sounded from the stage for four decades, ”the statement says.

As noted in the Mariinsky Theater, the unique vocal abilities allowed Marusin to perform both lyrical and dramatic parts with equal success.

For many years he taught vocals at the St. Petersburg Conservatory.
