TASS reports this with reference to the actor’s lawyer Yuri Padalko.
According to him, the decision to file such a petition has not yet been made.
“His right [to file a petition] opens at the end of March, but the decision has not been made yet,” the defense lawyer noted.
In June 2020, actor Mikhail Efremov drove his car into the oncoming lane in Moscow and crashed into a van, the driver of which later died in hospital.
The examination showed that the artist was intoxicated.
Efremov was sentenced to seven and a half years.
