[Explanation] Recently, the high fever in Shencheng has persisted, and the "Shanghai brand oven" has been fully fired.

On July 14, the Shanghai Central Meteorological Observatory issued another high temperature red warning signal.

At 12:56 that day, the temperature at Xujiahui Station in Shanghai rose to 40.6°C, the highest of the day.

Since July 10, the temperature in Shanghai has exceeded 40°C for three days. Among them, the highest temperature on July 13 was as high as 40.9°C, tying the highest value since the official meteorological observation record at Xujiahui Station in Shanghai in 1873.

In order to ensure the normal operation of various functions of the city, traffic police, sanitation workers, couriers and other outdoor workers still stick to their posts under the scorching sun under the high temperature.

At about 14:00 on July 14, the heat wave was rolling at the entrance of the Luban interchange on the South-North Elevated Road in Shanghai.

The reporter saw that Gao Yunfeng, a traffic policeman, was directing the traffic, and the top priority of his daily work was to eliminate traffic jams.

Because it is all hot days now, relatively speaking, we (encountered) will have slightly more breakdowns and accidents than usual.

For example, in the morning shift today, there have been about five breakdowns so far, and there should be around 12 or 3 accidents.

[Explanation] The reporter noticed that Gao Yunfeng's shirt was soaked wet and stuck to his back.

Due to the need to work outdoors for long hours, in order to avoid sunburn, the elevated traffic police have to wear long-sleeved uniforms to work on the post.

On this day, the sweat is basically steamed within 10 minutes.

The main thing to prevent heatstroke is to drink more water. We drink more water and replenish more water.

If it is a hot day, you should pay attention to rest, and some comrades will prepare a little bit of fengyoujing.

[Explanation] At the scene, the reporter used a temperature measuring gun to measure the elevated surface temperature as high as 56°C, and the temperature of the black seat cushion of the police motorcycle exceeded 70°C.

When the radio station called for a vehicle to break down, Gao Yunfeng immediately hurried to the scene by bicycle after wetting the motorcycle seat with the prepared mineral water.

The cleanliness of the city is inseparable from the hard work of sanitation workers.

At the intersection of Wuning South Road, Wuding Road, Master Han, a sanitation worker, is going door-to-door to collect household garbage from shops along the street.

Master Han told reporters that the sanitation management department distributed some heatstroke prevention and cooling items, and adjusted the work and rest time of workers.

During the high temperature period, I leave work at 11:00 in the morning and go to work at 15:30 in the afternoon. Water is (will) be supplied, and each intersection is delivered to the workers.

[Explanation] In order to cope with the high temperature, a courier outlet in Minhang District, Shanghai was equipped with electric fans, and prepared ice water, watermelon and other materials for the courier.

The Shanghai Health Promotion Center reminds you to drink more water on hot days, and to supplement electrolytes in moderation when sweating a lot, such as drinking light salt water.

If symptoms of heat stroke occur, immediately evacuate from the high temperature environment, and seek medical attention immediately in severe cases.

In addition, masks are prone to moisture due to sweating and need to be replaced in time.
