France generosities has just unveiled its new barometer on donations made by the French in 2021. This brings together the results of 56 associations of different types such as Amnesty International, Greenpeace, Secours Catholique or the League against cancer.

According to the results, donations thus increased by 4.5% in 2021. “A figure which testifies to the confidence placed by the French in associations and foundations to respond in particular to the exceptional needs generated by the consequences of the crisis” , explains France generosities quoted by Le Parisien.

Last year, 40% of donations were made by direct debit, compared to 34% in 2012. This method of payment has seen, between 2020 and 2021, an increase of more than 8%.

“It's a way to build loyalty, to create attachment to an association.

Above all, it's a system that avoids reminding the donor, and for him it's also a way of not thinking about it, and of very easily canceling if he wishes", explains Nolwenn Poupon, Director of Studies and communication at France generosities.
