Restos du Cœur volunteers are mobilized throughout France this weekend to collect donations.

The objective this year is to recover 9,000 tonnes of food.

Optimistic prospects as, in the outskirts of Toulouse, the number of applicants increased by 30%.

But generosity is there this year.

Since this Saturday morning, donations have been pouring into the Restos du Cœur stand located just in front of the cash registers.

Customers of this supermarket only have to walk a few meters to donate.

Les Restos have drawn up a list of foodstuffs which include: canned vegetables, hygiene products and even baby products.

“I think more and more people need it”

Giving is an obvious gesture for these donors: "It's important, we've all known people who were in a bit of trouble and we know very well that it's difficult. We make our small contribution to the building."

"I know there are a lot of people who need help and I know there is the problem that exists with unemployment and all that. I think more and more people need it," “I think we have to give. If everyone did the same, there would be fewer people dying.”

Collection from Restos du Cœur: in Champigny-sur-Marne, “it’s hard for everyone but people are generous”

This Restos du Cœur stand is organized so as not to mix anything.

Ten labeled boxes to best store products.

Everyone is mobilizing here this weekend.

If the national objective is to reach 9,000 tonnes of donations, in Haute-Garonne, we hope to do as well as last year with 206 tonnes of food collected.
