Why this book?

  • Because the family is definitely an inexhaustible theme

where reality often goes beyond fiction, and this story is proof of this as violent as it is touching.

  • Because little is said about the hold of a woman over a man,

and here it is indeed a narcissistic pervert who exercises her power over a solar and powerful man, whose plummeting no one could doubt which he undergoes.

  • Because it also speaks of filial love, of the father/daughter relationship,

of modesty, and here this love is both reinforced and weakened by tragedies experienced together, making the events of the story even more unbearable and painful .

  • Because it's a story written like a novel

and it contributes to the empathy that we feel for the protagonists, linked as they are by daily reality and the trivial details that cannot be avoided in the real life.
