After a deadly knife attack at a Berlin fair, the search for the perpetrator continues.

The police had asked for information about what happened on Saturday evening at the “Neuköllner Maientage” folk festival in the Hasenheide public park.

A spokeswoman for the public prosecutor's office said on Monday that there were five clues.

The body of the 25-year-old man who was killed had been autopsied.

Accordingly, he bled to death after the knife wounds.

According to the police, there should have been a dispute between several men before the crime, and the 25-year-old is said to have drawn a firearm.

According to dpa information, the man killed comes from the family of Nidal R., who was shot dead on Tempelhofer Feld in 2018 and was known to the police as a repeat offender with connections to clans of Arab origin.

The public prosecutor's office initially did not want to comment on the identity of the dead man or on possible references to the Berlin clan scene.

The newspapers "Bild" and "Welt" (Online) reported that the dead man was Mohammed R., Nidal R.'s brother. According to an insider, his death is said to have been an act of revenge for a violation of honor in the clan scene.

So far, the perpetrator has not been caught.
