The reporter learned from the Natural Resources Bureau of Liupanshui City, Guizhou Province on July 17 that at about 19:20 on July 15th, a landslide occurred in Zhoujiapo Group, Qingtou Village, Jichang Town, Shuicheng District, Liupanshui City, Guizhou Province, causing 3 houses to collapse. The collapsed area is more than 1,000 square meters.

Fortunately, the area was determined to have a potential geological hazard 10 days in advance during the investigation. Due to the timely evacuation, 211 people from 55 households successfully evacuated without casualties.

  At present, 211 people from 55 households in Jicang Town have been properly resettled. Warning lines, warning signs, monitoring points, and escape routes have been set up at the scene. Provincial Highway 218 has been sealed off and people’s houses have been sealed.

A special working group has been set up at the site, and relevant departments such as the Shuicheng District Natural Resources Bureau, Public Security Traffic Police, Power Supply, Jichang Town, and technical support units are carrying out follow-up work in an orderly manner.
