The defendant Gao Weidong was sentenced to life imprisonment for accepting bribes, deprived of political rights for life, and all personal property was confiscated; Gao Weidong's bribery gains and their accruals were recovered in accordance with the law and turned over to the state treasury.

The trial found that: from 1999 to 2022, the defendant Gao Weidong served as the director of the Planning, Construction and Environmental Protection Bureau of Guiyang Economic and Technological Development Zone, the former deputy district chief of Xiaohe District, Guiyang City, the former Jinyang New District Development and Construction Co., Ltd., and Jinyang Construction Investment ( Group) Co., Ltd., Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Guiyang Municipal Transportation Bureau, Deputy Mayor of Guiyang City, Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee and Director of the Management Committee of Guizhou Shuanglong Airport Economic Zone, Secretary of the Party Committee and Deputy Director of the Guizhou Provincial Department of Transportation Director, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of China Kweichow Moutai Distillery (Group) Co., Ltd., Member of the Party Committee and Director of the Guizhou Provincial Bureau of Coalfield Geology, etc., to facilitate relevant individuals and units in operating companies, contracting engineering projects, Provided assistance in obtaining land development rights, purchasing Maotai liquor, etc., and illegally received property directly or through relevant personnel, totaling more than 110 million yuan, of which more than 46.56 million yuan was not actually obtained.
