The Department of Social Services in Sharjah launched the eighth edition of its "Joy of Eid" initiative, which aims to provide Eid al-Adha gifts to nearly 2,400 children across the emirate.

The Director of the Department of Community Cohesion, Hessa Al Hammadi, said that the Social Services Department saw the continuity of the initiative in light of these circumstances due to its importance, and the contributions were attracted virtually in line with the commitment to precautionary measures and the purchase of gifts and their delivery to the beneficiaries to their homes.

She pointed out that "The Joy of Eid" is one of a series of community projects that it implements throughout the year within the framework of social responsibility that contribute to the happiness of individuals, in order to enhance the principles of compassion and communication between members of society to advance social work.

Al Hammadi called on the institutions and individuals contributing to support and support the “Joy of Eid” initiative, which guarantees the happiness of children with gifts and clothes for the blessed Eid al-Adha, where the department receives contributions “from a distance” by entering the department’s website, which includes various ways to deposit contributions via text messages in “Etisalat”. She pointed out that participation in supporting the initiative is via the department's bank account AE550410000011200248005, and the contribution mechanism allows 5 dirhams by sending the word "Eid" to the number 4212, and 50 dirhams to the number 5144 and 200 dirhams to the number 5145.
