Big challenges

The Al Fakhoora program aims to build a cadre of educated and trained leaders, so that they are empowered socially, economically and professionally by supporting them academically and providing training programs that qualify them to participate in the development of communities locally and internationally. It targets Palestinian university students from economically marginalized groups.

In turn, the Regional Director of the Al-Fakhoora Program at the Education Above All Foundation, Hani Shehadeh, considers that the Foundation’s response to the Gaza crises is comprehensive, and extends beyond the month of Ramadan, as it presents a multi-faceted approach to humanitarian and development aid, which was clearly evident in the Foundation’s announcement last December of 5 major projects. , demonstrating its commitment to meeting the immediate needs and long-term well-being of the community in Gaza.

Shehadeh said, in an interview with Al Jazeera Net, that the Ramadan campaign in Gaza is a response from the Education Above All Foundation to the suffering that the Strip is experiencing, and the campaign includes pioneering initiatives and projects aimed at supporting mental health, emergency relief, educational scholarships, and much more, which embodies... A comprehensive approach to crisis response and community support.

He notes that the Ramadan campaign in Gaza faces major challenges in the midst of war, including moving through areas where security risks are evident due to ongoing air strikes, especially at night when many initiatives are being implemented.

He adds that the blockade exacerbates these difficulties by severely restricting the entry of basic materials, the prices of which are often exorbitant, in addition to exacerbating logistical obstacles due to damaged infrastructure, which makes the transportation of aid and the movement of volunteers risky.
