    France has an incredible talent.

  • The final was won by the Lefèvre family choir.

  • “We were sure that there were

    preconceptions

    about sacred music.

The air of nothing, it can be general public ”, advance the parents, Anne and Gabriel, to

    20 Minutes.

The day after a victory straddling euphoria and normality.

A few hours after having won, to everyone's near surprise, the fifteenth season of

La France

à une

incredible talent

on M6, the Lefèvre family has kept its usual rhythm of life.

When we interview parents Anne and Gabriel, their children are at school, as if nothing had happened.

Both confided in

20 Minutes

on how they experienced the final of the show, their image of a Catholic family from Versailles, and what the 100,000 euros promised to the winners will allow them to achieve.

How did you spend your first night as winners?

Anne

: It's a bit surreal anyway.

Gabriel

: We made the final in our heads all night.

The announcement, when we knew we were winning, we replayed the film in our head.

It was just crazy, what.

We couldn't believe it.

You learned of your victory by videoconference.

Is there any frustration in having won under these conditions?

Anne

: Completely, we said to ourselves that it was horrible to be locked up in our house, not to be able to live it with the others, not to be able to kiss the jury.

It's not great.

We were happy, but not to be on the set, it was not crazy.

Gabriel

: The worst part is that we weren't on set for the shoot either.

And that was rock'n'roll.

How did you prepare for this performance in the final?

Gabriel

: There is a word to say that: lunar.

We were very afraid of not being able to make the final at all.

When we saw that the production was doing everything possible to be able to compete, it was a bit of a relief.

We were very happy to keep our chances, it was great.

But filming at home is not super comfortable.

It was really, really hard.

Anne

: We were live when the show was filming.

The only difference is that we weren't on the set but we shot like the others, when we wanted.

Gabriel

: It was under live conditions, we didn't see the jury.

It was heard with a delay of five seconds.

We sang without knowing, without seeing, it was a bit lunar.

We felt like we were outside of reality.

When you decided to be on the show, was there a particular message you wanted to convey?

Gabriel

: We wanted to share our love of sacred music with as many people as possible because we were sure that there were preconceptions about sacred music.

The air of nothing, it can be general public.

You wanted to go beyond the image of the Versailles Catholic family.

Do you think this is mission successful?

Gabriel

: We hope.

At least for some of the people.

We are what we are.

We didn't want to be labeled, cataloged or put in a drawer.

It's all true: we are Catholics, we are from Versailles, we have a large family, we tick a bunch of boxes, but we are ourselves.

Everyone is what they are and we are overjoyed that the jury and the public have gone beyond this story.

We can be all that and also rather uninhibited and in the sharing.

Anne

: We are quite empathetic, we love others, even those who are different from us.

It goes a bit above us, we love them for them, not for what they represent.

We love the human person.

That's why we liked being on these shoots, we talked to a lot of people, it was very interesting and enriching.

Is this something that you go through?

Gabriel

: It's the prejudices that are troublesome.

If we had been taken out at the auditions by being called stuck Versailles Catholics, it would have been painful.

We knew we were taking risks.

We must recognize the jury's talent for honesty.

They said what they thought, it was neat.

How do you explain your victory?

What do you think convinced the public?

Gabriel

: I think we touched the hearts of the public.

There is a form of authenticity in our approach which must have touched the viewers.

What do you hope to do next?

Gabriel

: We don't really know.

We hope for a record, a small tour or concerts.

We want to meet various audiences all over the place as far as our family status is concerned, because the children go to school.

We have a duty of life balance because it is not a question of doing just anything.

I have a job, that's great because I work in events and there are no more events to deal with at the moment.

I set up my company, all my employees are on partial unemployment.

My partner and I are not salaried and we have absolutely nothing as helpers.

As we have not had many events to do since March, we do not know what will be done tomorrow and when will resume our activity.

So winning this show is a real relief not to be on the street, that's for sure.

I think we will also try to get involved with an association with children.

Anne

: Going to sing Christmas carols in a hospital for sick children, that would be my dream.
