A few friends, an online aperitif and a surprise ringing bell.

This is how

Connected

begins

, Romuald Boulanger's latest film, which comes out Thursday on Amazon Prime.

The director was inspired by the confining atmosphere of spring to imagine this story, at the crossroads of comedy and thriller.

Isolation obliges, the shooting conditions were unprecedented, tells the actor Pascal Demolon Wednesday in

"It was a very surprising challenge, we found ourselves in front of screens, without necessarily seeing the friends supposed to be in front."

With Nadia Farès, Micha Youn, Stéphane De Grot and Audrey Fleurot, they play a group of friends who meet for an aperitif online.

As the doorbell rings at home, the character of Pascal Demolon rises and disappears from the field.

Moments later, his friends see him collapse on his coffee table and see a robber appear behind him.

On the plot, Pascal Demolon will not say more.

Take turns in the studio

Filming took place in just nine days.

Because of the confinement, the actors could not meet in the studio, and therefore took turns going there.

Pascal Demolon only met Michaël Youn and Audrey Fleurot there.

"At best we had someone to give us the answer. Romuald (Boulanger) gave us indications on the reactions that the others had had the day before during their scenes."

Exceptional filming conditions which never discouraged Romuald Boulanger.

Confronted, like all French people, with isolation and a social life on screen, he was inspired by it to paint the unspoken words of a group of friends jostled by this new kind of conviviality.

And who is ready to implode when, under pressure, secrets and frustrations come to light.
