On the bill alongside Valérie Lemercier in "Forte", a film for which she wrote the screenplay, Melha Bedia was Anne Roumanoff's guest on Europe 1, Monday. The initial release date having to be postponed, with the closing of cinemas as part of the confinement, "Forte" is now available directly on Prime Video, the platform of Amazon.

INTERVIEW

In Forte , the actress Melha Bedia tells the story of Nour, a young woman depressed by her extra pounds who decides to take pole dance lessons to seduce the man she is in love with. Originally scheduled for mid-March, the film's release was postponed after the cinemas closed to fight the coronavirus. As the actress reminds us so well on Europe 1 Monday, it all started because of "a pangolin in a soup".

Hypochondriac for 15 years

Defining herself as hypochondriac "for 15 years", the humorist relativizes his disappointment to see the release in theaters pushed back. The forced confinement of the population and the success of video-on-demand platforms have even pushed them to consider another solution so that Forte meets its audience: "To a new situation, let's find a slightly modern solution ! " In agreement with the distributor, the film is therefore offered since April 15 on Amazon's video platform, a way to go "directly into people's living rooms".

"In Paris, there are all the Morris columns from the film Forte . They haven't moved and they won't move so I won free posters!" Melha Bedia laughs yellow, but she still seems to take this singular event with philosophy. "Once you realize that the film is not coming out ... you realize that there is a global pandemic," she exclaims.

The film featuring the actress, alongside Valérie Lemercier in particular, seems to be quite well received. "I get a lot of messages. I think it's a hit, so I'm happy to take advantage of the containment."
