The Federal Center for Health Education reported that unexplained weight gain, that is, not due to eating large quantities of food, warns of hypothyroidism.

The German Center explained that hypothyroidism is caused by a lack of the hormone thyroxine, which causes the slow metabolism (metabolism), and then weight gain.

Besides weight gain, symptoms of hypothyroidism also include pallor, dryness, hair breakage, hair loss, chronic constipation, decreased ability to focus, exertion, fatigue, lethargy, sleep disorders, and menstrual disorders in women.

So an endocrinologist should be consulted as soon as you notice these symptoms to check for hypothyroidism.
