The total number of coronavirus infections reached 63,851 cases, after China confirmed 5,090 new infections and 121 deaths.
About 55,748 are currently under treatment, while 1,380 people have died, according to Reuters.
Earlier on Friday, Hubei Province, the outbreak center in China, reported 4,823 new infections and 116 deaths in the province.
The northeastern Heilongjiang Province reported two new deaths, while the other deaths were in Anhui, Henan and Chongqing Municipality.
