Cyril Mokaiesh was born in France to a French mother and a Lebanese father. His family left Beirut during the civil war in the 75s but Lebanon has always been very present in his life. Flayed, rebellious, indignant, but also romantic, poet, lover of beautiful texts: he likes to surprise each of his albums. The last one, Paris-Beirut, is an illustration of this: he returns to his Lebanese roots and embarks us on a spellbinding journey, where electro vibrations are obviously combined with oriental sounds.

He is known worldwide for being the painter of color. Leader of Fauvism and Expressionism, Henri Matisse influenced world painting. On the occasion of its 150th anniversary, the Matisse museum, at Cateau-Cambrésis in the North of France, retraces its journey and explores the influence of the great masters of painting on the work of the young Henri Matisse, before he in turn becomes master.
