Last week, the Swedish Academy announced that they are ready to initiate a legal process against NMR to have them remove the quotes from their site North Front.

It is the government that has appointed the Swedish Academy to be one of the bodies that can take measures to protect classical works that no longer has the rights. Through what is called the classic protection, the Swedish Academy can report when works are used in a way that "violates the interests of spiritual cultivation".

The lawyer: I'm surprised

Now NMR has announced the lawyer Anders Kylhammar, who represents the Swedish Academy in the case, that they will not remove the quotes.

- I'm actually surprised. I had probably expected them to agree to make these changes. It is quite common that you want to avoid court proceedings if you run a website and end up in such a situation, says Anders Kylhammar to DN.

Next, the Swedish Academy will submit a lawsuit to the Patent and Market Court at the Stockholm District Court because they believe the case is so serious that it must be tried. They believe the chances are high that this will eventually have to be quoted from the Nordfront site.
