This is the third project in which Nagano Prefecture and a major food manufacturer jointly make potato chips with a familiar taste in Shinshu, and this time, it was decided to be the “Zanyaki”, which is popular in the Chushin region.
On the 20th, Vice President Nobu Ehara of major food maker Calbee visited the Nagano Prefectural Government Office and showed Governor Abe the taste of Shinshu's local potato chips “Zanyaki”.
During the development, when we asked for ideas about what kind of potato chips we would like to eat over the Internet, we heard that many people asked for “bandits”.
In addition to repeated prototyping to determine how far to enhance the flavor of garlic, which is one of the features of “Sanzan-yaki”, it was devised to reproduce the texture of crisp clothing by cutting it thickly.
Governor Abe, who tasted, said, “I can't stop when I start eating. I want to eat this potato chips and actually come to Shinshu to eat“ bandits ”.”
The taste of “Sanzan-yaki” is the third of the first potato chips in Shinshu, following the first “Kimoku Gohan Taste”, the first “Taste of Kim”, and the last “Taste of Nozawana Pickles”. It will be sold at supermarkets in Niigata Prefecture and 6 prefectures in Tohoku.
