According to her, the musician was suspected in an attempt to illegally transport across the border an amount that exceeds the maximum allowable for export in cash.
Minina clarified that the musician was going to put into the ATM an amount exceeding the allowable amount for export in cash immediately after the delivery of oversized baggage.
“The customs officer gave the go-ahead to the customs area with this money (Sergey warned her that he would need to leave the area after checking in to get to the ATM and deposit cash on the card), but after taking one step after that, he was detained” - quotes the representative of the TASS group.
She added that the group is currently awaiting further proceedings in connection with the incident and are looking for a lawyer.
