The head of the Chita customs, Vladimir Ignatiev, announced this at a press conference.

According to him, when the containers were scanned, it was recorded that the fabric density of the clothing was different than that of sportswear, which is why the decision was made to inspect the contents.

“One container was pulled out, opened, and there were trunks with addresses to Ukraine. They were packed with uniforms with the symbols of the Ukrainian army,” TASS quotes him as saying.

In total, eight containers were seized by customs officers. The inspection of their contents continues.

According to TASS, the head of customs added that the trunks were factory-packed, compressed and placed in vacuum packaging.

Ignatiev also added that the FSB is already working on this issue. The manufacturer is not indicated on the tags, but it is stated in Ukrainian that this is a military uniform.

“We’ll be watching for about another week. There is no criminal case yet,” he concluded.

Earlier, employees of the Federal Customs Service seized more than 1.2 tons of cocaine in the Big Port of St. Petersburg.
