On July 19, the 96-meter steel truss girder of the Guangzhou-Zhanjiang High-speed Railway Guangzhou-Zhuhai-Guangmao Contact Line, which was constructed by Guangzhan Company and constructed by China Railway 25th Bureau, was pulled into place, marking the first steel truss girder on the entire line. The main project has been completed, and the project construction has achieved breakthrough progress.

  The Guangzhan high-speed railway is an important part of the 350 km/h coastal passenger passage in the national "eight vertical and eight horizontal" high-speed railway network, and it is also the largest high-speed railway project invested by Guangdong Province in recent years.

The main line of the project is 400.111 kilometers long. The line leads from Guangzhou Station, passes through cities such as Foshan, Zhaoqing, Yunfu, Yangjiang, Maoming, Zhanjiang, etc., and finally ends at Zhanjiang North Station.

  After the Guangzhou-Zhanjiang high-speed railway is completed and opened to traffic, it will fill the gap of no ballastless high-speed railway in the coastal areas of western Guangdong, and will become an important carrier to drive and guide the urban system and social development along the line.

By then, the central urban area of ​​Guangzhou and the central urban area of ​​Zhanjiang will be able to reach each other within 90 minutes, which will promote the integration of Yangjiang, Maoming and Zhanjiang in the coastal areas of western Guangdong into the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and help Guangdong achieve the goal of "city-city-to-city high-speed rail with a speed of 350 kilometers per hour". .
