  The Guangdong-Zhanjiang High-speed Railway Zhanjiang Bay Undersea Tunnel Project is a control project for the entire Guangzhan Railway. It is invested and constructed by Guangdong Guangzhan Railway Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Guangdong Railway Investment Group.

The total length of the tunnel is 9,640 meters, including a shield section of 7,551 meters and an excavation diameter of 14.33 meters.

The Zhanjiang Bay Undersea Tunnel Project is driven in one direction by a shield machine, with a single hole and two lines. It is the largest diameter cross-sea high-speed rail shield tunnel with the longest single-head excavation distance in my country. It has the characteristics of large excavation section, poor geological conditions, There is a lot of waste mud, it is easy to form mud cakes, and it crosses both the sea and the city.

The construction of the tunnel effectively preserved the existing city skyline of Zhanjiang Bay, reduced the impact on waterway traffic, and effectively avoided the impact of typhoons on the safety of high-speed rail operations.

  The main line of the Guangzhou-Zhanjiang high-speed railway leads from Guangzhou Station, runs westward through Foshan, Zhaoqing, Yunfu, Yangjiang, Maoming, and Zhanjiang, and ends at Zhanjiang North Station. It includes Guangzhou Hub and Zhanjiang Hub-related projects. The project investment is estimated to be 99.8 billion yuan. New construction 401 kilometers of double lines, with a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour, with new Foshan Station, Pearl River Delta Hub Airport Station, Xinxing South Station, Yangchun East Station, Yangjiang North Station, Mada Station, Maoming South Station, Wuchuan Station, and Zhanjiang North Station 9 stations, including Zhanjiang East Station and Yangxi Station.

  At present, 93% of the entire Guangzhou-Zhanhan high-speed railway line base project has been completed, 91% of the bridge project has been completed, and 86% of the tunnel project has been completed. The four power and housing construction projects behind the station have been fully constructed, and we strive to be ready to open to traffic by the end of 2025.

  The Guangzhou-Zhanjiang High-speed Railway is an important part of the national "eight vertical and eight horizontal" high-speed railway network and a large coastal railway passenger transport channel with a speed of 350 kilometers per hour.

After opening to traffic, the train running time in the central urban areas of Guangzhou and Zhanjiang will be shortened to about 90 minutes, and high-speed rail with a speed of 350 kilometers per hour will be accessible in western Guangdong.

The Guangzhou-Zhanjiang High-speed Railway will also be connected to the Guangzhou-Shantou High-speed Railway, and will also connect with transportation hubs such as the Pearl River Delta Airport Group, helping to build a comprehensive three-dimensional transportation network and high-quality development in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
