At the end of last year, the City Council decided to update its rules of procedure regarding Kungsbacka square. In other words, rules that supplement the law of order and it is up to everyone how to choose to formulate it.

These rules are not allowed to violate the law or to be unreasonable and it was at this point that the municipality tangled with it, as Norra Halland newspaper was the first to tell.

No coupling on the dog owner's square is one of the points where things went wrong. When the definition of a public place has been expanded, dog owners cannot force their four-legged friends, the administrative court says.

When it comes to alcohol, it is still the municipalities' standard order of business that it is not permissible to go around drinking wine and beer - but the word choice used by the municipality also applied to this. They used the comprehensive word alcohol, which also means alcohol you can buy in a regular grocery store and therefore, according to the administrative law, becomes an unnecessary constraint on the public.

Now the municipality must therefore develop a new charter.
