As RIA Novosti writes with reference to the commission, the incident occurred on the evening of March 1.

“According to emergency services, at about 11:00 p.m., an electrical equipment malfunction occurred near the control center of the Kalininskaya substation, accompanied by a bang and a bright flash that could be observed by residents of nearby areas,” the report says.

The incident did not affect the energy supply to the regions of Yekaterinburg.

Electrical equipment is operating normally.

URA.RU notes that law enforcement agencies organized an inspection of the substation.
