Brazilian singer Darlyn Morais has died after being bitten in the face by a spider while at home in Miranorte, northwestern Brazil. After the bite, he began to feel unwell and was taken to the hospital as his condition did not improve, but he eventually died from an allergic reaction caused by the bite.

The spider also bit his wife's 18-year-old daughter, who is admitted to the Palmas General Hospital.

The artist is one of the most popular voices of forro, a folk music genre originating in Pernambuco, an area in northwestern Brazil.

In Miranorte, where he lived, hundreds of people have gathered to say goodbye to the artist and they have done so singing, many of them excited as can be seen in a video posted on the singer's Instagram account.
