Sunday, April 9, 2023, Dany Boon and Kad Merad were invited on the set of the 20h of TF1 to talk about "Life for real", their new comedy event. Opposite Anne-Claire Coudray, the two actors recalled the filming for the least eventful "Bienvenue chez les Ch'tis", during which they lived their "biggest fight"...

Dany Boon and Kad Merad are about to make their comeback together in the cinema! Nine years after their collaboration for the film Superchondriaque and 15 years after the release of Bienvenue chez les Ch'tis, the two actors will give each other this time the answer in La vie pour de vrai, the new comedy event directed by Dany Boon, in theaters on April 19.

A "big fight" during a shoot

It is on this occasion that the two acolytes were invited on the set of the 20h of TF1 Sunday, April 9, 2023. Questioned by Anne-Claire Coudray about their complicity, which has strengthened over the years, Kad Merad and Dany Boon played the card of honesty. Yes, even they argue sometimes. And, their biggest "big rant" took place on the set of Bienvenue chez les Ch'tis, a cult film that had made more than 20.75 million admissions at the French box office.

Dany Boon was "angry" with Kad Merad

"The first day of the Ch'tis (...) I got a little angry with you," recalled Dany Boon on TF1. His accomplice Kad Merad did not hold it against him and even very quickly moved on. "It was your second film, you were a bit 'fragile', you weren't very comfortable... And I wasn't very good!" admitted the 59-year-old comedian. No hard feelings for the two friends who hope that their new film Real Life will meet the same success as Bienvenue chez les Ch'tis.
