This Friday evening, the Olympia is hosting the 49th César ceremony in Paris.

“Anatomy of a Fall” and “The Animal Kingdom” are among the favorites to win the most titles.

An honorary César will be awarded to Agnès Jaoui and Christopher Nolan.

Europe 1 was behind the scenes preparing for the prestigious evening.

The Olympia is hosting the 49th César ceremony this Friday evening in Paris.

Big favorites include

Anatomy of a Fall

and

 The Animal Kingdom.

 An honorary prize will be given to Agnès Jaoui and Christopher Nolan.

Europe 1 was behind the scenes to see the workings of the evening. 

Outside, the mythical red letters of the Olympia suggest a scintillating ceremony.

Inside, the red carpet is being rolled out, the statuettes are patiently waiting to be engraved and the fifteen cameras are ready to capture the reactions of the actors of the 7th art who will be present in the room during the ceremony .

“We are vigilant about what can happen emotionally throughout the evening. There are a lot of new talents this year, I decided to focus on reactions and smiles,” tells Europe 1, the director of the Cesar show.

The president of this 49th edition, Valérie Lemercier, promised surprises.

A rich evening 

To support her, she will be able to count on masters and mistresses of ceremonies like Benoît Magimel, Dany Boon, Juliette Binoche and Marie-Christine Barrault who does not hide her excitement.

"I'm returning to the responsibility of presenting three prizes so I see it from the inside and that amuses me a lot. I really like Valérie Lemercier, we're going to go right after her so that puts a bit of pressure," she confides. -She.
