On March 5th, the Memorial Day of Learning from Lei Feng is approaching. The Lei Feng Memorial Hall located in Wangcheng District, Changsha, the hometown of Lei Feng, welcomes many Chinese and foreign youths to visit and exchange.

In the eyes of foreign youths, Lei Feng's spirit has no borders and deeply affects everyone.

　　For me, the spirit of Lei Feng represents the spiritual power of selfless dedication and helping others. This spiritual power led me to become a volunteer, and at the same time infected the people around me. society.

I was also attracted by such spiritual power and wanted to keep up with everyone.

　　[Explanation] Sally, an Afghan student studying at Changsha University of Science and Technology, has been living and studying in Changsha for more than four years.

Because he often participates in volunteer services in the communities around the school, he is affectionately called "Yang Lei Feng" by everyone.

　　Like Sally, Im, a Pakistani student who also actively participates in public welfare activities in China, solemnly wrote his name on the Declaration of Volunteer Service of Changsha University of Science and Technology after listening to the explanation of Lei Feng's deeds by Chinese students.

　　It is precisely because there are tens of thousands of Lei Fengs that China has achieved rapid development and people's happy lives. I want to learn from him.

　　[Commentary] Martin, a Canadian who has lived in Changsha, China for 16 years, is no stranger to the name Lei Feng, and is deeply infected by Lei Feng's spirit of helping others.

He studies Chinese medicine and knows how to play Tai Chi, and he often does various volunteer work with his companions from the Chinese Medicine Association and Tai Chi Martial Arts Association.

As a foreign teacher of the International Department of Changsha Mingde Middle School, Martin will also take the students to do volunteer work.

In his view, volunteer services in Changsha, Lei Feng's hometown, can be seen everywhere.

　　I think Lei Feng is a person with positive energy. He is a good example. That is, we can learn from him and his spirit, that is, how can we be a selfless person and serve the whole people.

So I think it is very important to do these volunteer activities.

　　[Explanation] He Mokai from Germany came to Changsha last year and took over Ba Hersey Bakery, which provides free baking training and employment opportunities for the hearing-impaired.

He often sees posters of Lei Feng at the Changsha subway station and knows that Lei Feng is the spiritual idol of the Chinese people.

He Mokai told reporters that although Germany does not have a national spiritual idol like Lei Feng, the spirit of Lei Feng has no national boundaries, and every country will have such people who insist on doing good things in their own way.

Basically, the store is still the same as before, and almost all the employees remain.

And we don't plan to make any changes in this area, but we hope to continue to recruit deaf-mute people and continue to train deaf-mute apprentices.

　　[Explanation] Nowadays, Changsha has a strong atmosphere of volunteer service.

According to statistics, as of now, the number of registered Leifeng volunteers in Changsha has reached 1.54 million, and there are 5,980 volunteer service organizations.

For more people in Lei Feng's hometown, learning from Lei Feng has been integrated into their daily life and has become a spiritual pursuit.
