The epicenter was located near Yuanxi Street, Yuancheng District, Heyuan City, Guangdong Province, 3 kilometers from the People's Government of Xingang Town, Dongyuan County, Heyuan City, 6 kilometers from the urban area of ​​Yuancheng District, Heyuan City, 6 kilometers from the urban area of ​​Heyuan City, and 157 kilometers from Guangzhou City.
