The reporter learned from the Zhaotong City Fire Rescue Detachment that no reports of casualties or building damage have been received so far, and fire rescue personnel have rushed to the epicenter to investigate.

  The China Seismological Network officially determined that a magnitude 4.9 earthquake occurred in Ludian County, Zhaotong City, Yunnan Province (27.01 degrees north latitude, 103.44 degrees east longitude) at 10:29 on April 6, with a focal depth of 10 kilometers. Netizens in Zhaotong and Huize, Yunnan, and Yibin, Liangshan, Panzhihua and other places in Sichuan all said they felt the earthquake strongly. At present, the local area has launched disaster investigation and rescue and rescue work.

  After the earthquake, the Zhaotong City Fire Rescue Detachment responded quickly and immediately dispatched the Ludian County Fire Rescue Brigade Earthquake Rescue Detachment and the Forward Emergency Detachment with 16 people in 4 vehicles to the epicenter for investigation. At the same time, the detachment's earthquake rescue light team and communication support team, 17 vehicles, 65 people and 5 dogs, were mobilized simultaneously.

  At present, the Zhaotong City Fire Rescue Detachment has not received any reports of casualties or building damage. The Huodehong Town dispatcher reported that the traffic, electricity and public network at the scene were smooth, and fire rescue personnel were going door to door for further investigation.

  The Liupanshui Railway Station of the Chengdu Railway Bureau announced on the same day that earthquakes of varying degrees were felt along the Inner-Liu Railway and at some stations. In order to ensure the safe operation of passenger trains, the railway department quickly launched an emergency plan, urgently blocked the relevant sections of the Inner Six Railways, comprehensively inspected the driving equipment, and investigated potential safety hazards. Affected by this, passenger trains passing through this section will be delayed to varying degrees, and it may also affect the delay of subsequent departure trains.

  Ludian County is located in the northeast of Yunnan Province, south of Zhaotong City, and on the north bank of the Niulan River.
