A river of clear water flows out of Xin'an

　　Xin'an River, originating in Xiuning County, Huangshan City, Anhui Province, flows east into the west of Zhejiang Province, and is a river that crosses Anhui and Zhejiang provinces.

　　At the beginning of this century, the ecological security of the Xin'an River Basin faced severe challenges.

At that time, Huangshan City was in the stage of accelerated industrialization and urbanization. A large amount of sewage and garbage flowed into Qiandao Lake through the Xin'an River, resulting in an obvious trend of eutrophication in water quality.

Qiandao Lake is a deep-water lake with no obvious flow velocity distribution gradient and weak self-purification ability. Once eutrophication intensifies, it will be difficult to control.

　　In 2012, Xin'anjiang initiated the implementation of the country's first cross-provincial watershed ecological compensation mechanism pilot.

Since the three rounds of pilot projects, Huangshan City has invested a total of 20.7 billion yuan in the implementation of the "Ten Ten Projects" in the entire basin, making the overall water quality of the Xin'an River Basin maintain good all year round. The water quality of the outbound section has met the ecological compensation assessment requirements for 10 consecutive years. Transport nearly 7 billion cubic meters of clean water.

　　In 2021, Xin'an River (Huangshan Section) will be awarded the first batch of excellent cases of beautiful rivers and lakes in the country.

In 2022, the ecological compensation mechanism of Xin'an River was selected as a case selection of "Clear water and lush mountains are golden mountains and silver mountains" by the Central Party School.

　　Today, the pilot work based on the Xin'an River Basin Ecological Compensation Mechanism as a model has been replicated and promoted in 13 other river basins and 18 provinces across the country, "flowering and bearing fruit" in a broader and more comprehensive ecosystem.

The Xin'anjiang model created after ten years of hard work is behind the hard work of countless people.

The local people said that she is the most nimble in her hands and feet, and she can calculate accounts quickly and clearly.

　　150 plastic bags for a piece of soap, 30 cigarette shells for a pack of rice wine... "We have a booklet, each household, each person, how much rubbish is exchanged for what, it is very clear." Xie Yamei said.

　　She introduced to Chinanews.com that the Eco-Mei Supermarket was established in 2016 and was formerly known as a "garbage exchange supermarket". Villagers can exchange daily collected garbage for daily necessities.

　　In 2022, supermarkets will further expand the scope of redemption and adopt a "point system". Not only the garbage collected can be converted into points, but also environmental protection behaviors such as bravery and protection of rivers and fishing bans can also be converted into points, which will be included in the special eco-beauty supermarket passbook.

According to the points in the passbook, the villagers can go to Eco-Mei Supermarket to exchange for daily necessities of different values.

　　"It's really not what it used to be." In the past seven years, Xie Yamei has witnessed the changes in Xin'an River and Liukou Village.

The garbage that hangs on the trees, floats on the water, is thrown on the shore or even sinks in the bottom of the water is collected by the villagers, sorted, and brought to Eco-Beauty Supermarket for unified processing.

She said that the environment in the village is now cleaner, and there is almost no rubbish on the road.

　　From a village to a city, environmental protection has become a new fashion for the whole people.

In 2018, the form of "Ecological Beauty Supermarket" was fully promoted in Huangshan City.

Today, 345 "Ecological Beauty" supermarkets cover all administrative villages (communities) along the Huangshan section of the Xin'an River Basin.

Write nostalgia into green water and green mountains

　　"Xin'an River is clear and long, and people on both sides of the river are scattered like boats." In 1934, the poet Yu Dafu made an impromptu poem in Tunxi at night, which has become a poetic expression of the harmonious living in Xin'an River today.

　　The scenery touches nostalgia. Yao Shunwu, who grew up by the Xin'an River since he was a child, has a deep understanding of this sentence.

He is currently the Secretary of the General Party Branch of Damao Community, Shendu Town, Shexian County, Huangshan City, Anhui Province. He has always hoped to make Damao Community a "bright pearl on the banks of the Xin'an River", so that the people in his hometown can enjoy "Earn the money of city people".

　　"Our masses have paid a lot." Yao Shunwu told Chinanews.com that because of the need to develop green industries and control water pollution, the original farms on both sides of the river had to be shut down, which caused great losses to the farmers on the river.

　　After discussion, the community party branch decided to provide different solutions for different types of people, such as allowing experienced farmers to cultivate the local loquat industry and tea industry, and young people with ideas and capabilities to try to start the tourism service industry.

"Let the masses feel the warmth of the organization during the transformation process, and let them gain greater benefits." He said.

　　The concept of green development has given rich returns to the residents of Damao Community.

Today, Damao Community has built a thousand-mu loquat demonstration garden, a thousand-mu organic and harmless tea garden, and a thousand-mu moso bamboo technology demonstration garden.

In 2020, all 21 impoverished households will be lifted out of poverty.

　　In May, the loquat trees are full of gold, and two months later, it will be the peak season for loquat picking in Damao Community.
