This year, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment has determined that 2,573 water bodies will be included in the construction of beautiful rivers and lakes. These water bodies are mainly concentrated in rivers and lakes with national monitoring points.

Six reference indicators including ecological water security, aquatic plant protection, and aquatic animal protection were clarified.

　　Since my country launched the construction of beautiful rivers and lakes in 2021, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment has guided various regions to promote it in stages and has successively selected 56 outstanding cases of beautiful rivers and lakes, including Shenzhen Maozhou River, Xiamen Yuandang Lake, and Zhejiang Qiandao Lake.
